Personal Information:
I have over 22 years' experience of teaching ESOL students, from beginners to advanced levels. As a tutor with Buckinghamshire Adult Learning for over 15 years, I have an excellent understanding of how to prepare students for a range of different speaking, listening, reading and writing exams with a variety of examination boards including Ascentis, English Speaking Board and Cambridge. I am used to teaching students at all levels and with different abilities and learning styles.

I also teach English for Functional Skills and can help students to improve their spelling, grammar, vocabulary and writing skills. In addition, I can support them in composing job applications and CVs, preparing presentations and producing reports for work purposes.

I have a BA honours degree in Modern History, a CELTA Certificate in Further Education Teaching Stage 3 with the Certificate for ESOL Subject Specialists, a Certificate in Initial Training for Classroom Assistants (Stage 1) and a Trinity Certificate in TESOL. I can teach face to face or online depending on your requirements. I have taught classes using Google Classroom but can use Skype and Zoom and I hold a Level 1 Award in Digital Skills for Work.

I am extremely flexible and really enjoy working with individual students to tailor my lessons to suit their specific needs. I am happy to provide homework assignments and will give regular feedback on progress.

In addition to tutoring adult learners, I have also experience of helping young children to develop their literacy skills, including hand writing and spelling.
