Personal Information:
I have a PhD in biochemistry and am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). I am a also committee member of the Protein and Peptide Science Group of the RSC. I have been involved in A level examining for many years, most recently as a Senior Assessor in A level Biology and Assistant Examiner (marker) in A level Chemistry. This has given me a deep understanding of the examinations system so that I can help students maximise their potential through perfecting their exam technique.

My working life was spent largely in the life sciences and biotech sector and this has given me a wide knowledge of many areas of chemistry and biology. This means that I can put chemical and biological topics into a real-world context that can aid students with understanding and recall. I am currently involved in organising highly-regarded international academic conferences in the peptide sciences.

A level Chemistry and Biology are difficult subjects with a lot of content to learn. Whilst I can't do the student's work for them, I can support them with understanding and techniques to help with recall. I can also provide help with using past paper questions both as the basis of revision as well as developing and improving effective exam technique.

My students enjoy their sessions with me and invariably achieve more than they could have done without my support.
